A snake built a nest inside an air conditioner fan and stored a dead mouse inside spreading a rotten smell into the house.

The green serpent identified as a Chrysopelea ornata coiled up inside the condenser of the unit in Saraburi province, Thailand on February 24.

Por Anchita said they found the snake next to a dead mouse under the fan blades after searching for the foul smell that filled their home.

She said: "I thought the air conditioner was broken so we checked on it outside. I was startled upon seeing the snake hiding under the fan blades."

The house owner tried to pull the snake out through the holes, but they were too narrow so she had to grab it using bare hands.

The snake did not resist the woman and was calm while being handled. It was then released into a nearby farm.
