This Rottweiler growls intensely when he is demanding pets from his owner.

Ryan Prater filmed as his dog Bear began making the strange noise whilst being petted.

He said: "Bear is a Rottweiler and he is a little different, full of noises. He growls/purrs when he is happy. If he gets mad, he simply barks instead of growling or just walks away.

"We have had him since he was 13 days old. He nudges for more love and pets. He is the kindest, smartest dog we have ever owned. He wouldn’t hurt a fly and never has."

This footage was filmed on May 5 in Marion, Ohio.

'Ryan Prater made this video after receiving a comment on one of his other videos from a person showing concern about the filmer's dog not being happy.

This clip features the growling pup named Bear playing with his momma as Ryan writes, "What makes you think he isn't happy?"
