Toddler learns about safety eyes on the garage door and then takes an unbelievable ride

After arriving home, my wife, 2 and a half year old son, and myself walk inside the garage. I hit the button to close the door behind us. My son had different plans and had apparently learned that he can stop the door by moving in front of the safety sensor. He kicks his foot in the sensor path, causing the garage door to reverse direction. He then grabs onto the door and using his surprising toddler grip strength, and rides upwards around 3 feet off of the ground. Upon hearing the door reopening, I walked out to check on him only to see him hanging momentarily and then letting go, landing almost entirely on his feet. I give him a “what are you thinking?” body gesture, to which he responds with excitement about his ride and subsequent fall. He was completely uninjured.
