'Mediterranean Sea: Playful Dolphin Rides the Bow Wave'
'A cool video of a dolphin being playful and swimming along a boat was caught on camera on April 29, 2021.
Lisa Stengel filmed this amusing scene during her voyage to cross the Atlantic Ocean.
She said: "Shortly after embarking on a month-long voyage to cross the Atlantic Ocean, our vessel was greeted by dolphins, speeding over to play in the wake. The vessel was 42 meters and was traveling at a speed of 10 knots, which created a current at the bow."
She added: "The dolphin in the video is riding the bow pressure wave created by the forward motion of the vessel. The mammal effortlessly surfs the wave, even twirling in circles, which I can only imagine is purely for fun."
