Just watch them all stretching it out - Wild dogs/painted wolves getting ready for the hunt
There is an estimation of only between 450 - 500 wild dogs roaming in Kruger, so seeing the dogs is a matter of luck. Wild dogs of Kruger are a rare sighting and we were fortunate enough to spot a pack of around 20 dogs. They were taking a breather which is not often, because it seems they are always on the move. We sat with them for a hour before they got up and started stretching to get ready to move of for their next hunt. It was interesting to see how each dog stretched themselves out before they moved off. The alpha male was the first to stand up, not long and the rest all followed.
