Waste straw was weaved into incredible sculptures in eastern China.

The cool footage, shot in the city of Suqian in Jiangsu Province on March 19, shows workers in a factory using straw to create around 6-metre-high sculptures including a gorilla, dragon, elephant and a mantis.

They came up with the idea to try to bring people’s memories back to their childhood in the countryside.

It takes five or six people around a week to complete a straw sculpture.

The video was provided by local media with permission.
