Terror gripped the residents after they spotted a spectacled cobra hiding inside the ceiling of their house in northern India's Uttarakhand on June 3. The incident took place in Prem Nagar, located in Dehradun.

Visuals feature the rescuers pulling the spectacled cobra out from an opening in the ceiling. The snake conceals itself amid bricks, while the experts use a stick-like object to pull it out. Following this, the rescuers take the serpent outside, where it retaliates its capture against the backdrop of the night sky. The spectacled cobra curls up mid-air while its savior swings it by its tail.

The panic-stricken locals alerted the forest department upon spotting the spectacled cobra. Following this, a team of forest officials, led by Ravi Joshi, reached the spot. They initiated a one-and-a-half-hour-long rescue operation and successfully captured the five-and-a-half-feet-long serpent. Later, the spectacled cobra was released into the forest cover.
