SAN JACINTO, CA - On 06-06-2021 at about 12:30 am, Cal Fire responded to reports of a head on crash involving a sedan and a pickup truck on Mountain Ave, near the intersection with Esplanade Ave.

Arriving crews located a black Ford pickup and a red sedan with major front end damage blocking the roadway.

The driver of the sedan was trapped and the vehicle was beginning to catch fire. Firefighters quickly put the fire out and performed a physical extrication to free the trapped victim from the wreckage who was later transported to a local trauma center in critical condition.

The driver of the pickup was transported to a local hospital with minor to moderate injuries.

Witnesses stated that the red sedan was seen swerving in the roadway prior to the crash. At this time it's unknown if drugs or alcohol were a factor in the crash.
