Male elephants tussle on road over mating rights to female in Thailand
This is the moment two male elephants tussled on a mountain road to fight over a female in Thailand.
The bulls emerged from woodland and fought over the mating rights to a female in Nakhon Ratchasima province.
Wildlife rangers from Khaoyai National Park arrived to secure the roads to prevent passing cars from disturbing the two beasts as they battled it out in mating season.
One of the rangers said: ‘We don’t stop them from duelling as it is their nature. We can only try to protect the people around and warn them if something like this happens in the area.’
