An Improvised Explosive Device (IED) was detected and defused in northern India's Jammu and Kashmir on June 5. The incident took place in the Chanapora region of Srinagar.

Visuals feature the officials recovering the IED. Following this, they stack the explosives together in an isolated region for the defusal operation. Once placed safely, the explosives blow up, and a massive cloud of smoke envelops the area. Meanwhile, the onlookers behold the experience from a safe distance.

The Jammu and Kashmir police detected an IED inside a box, following which they alerted the Bomb Detection and Disposal Squad (BDS), who immediately swung into action. They defused the explosive and averted a fatal tragedy.
