Despite the ban on import, manufacture, transportation, and sale of Smokeless Tobacco (SLT) or chewable tobacco to save the society from health hazards, they were being sold discreetly in southern India's Andhra Pradesh on June 5. The incident took place in Vuyyuru in the Krishna district.

Visuals feature a huge stock of tobacco-related items piled up inside a room while the cops enter to look over and inspect the entire premise to recover more illicit items. In the meantime, numerous boxes get retrieved from the same area in broad daylight.

The state government imposed a complete ban on chewable tobacco products on January 9, 2013, intending to save society, but somehow locals continued to have access to these items. Following these instances, the police officials raided a place and seized 70 boxes and 52 sacks of tobacco items valued at over Rs. 10 lakh (USD 13,724).
