A woman based in St. Louis, Missouri, gifted her granddad a stunning portrait after he almost passed away from COVID-19.

Hope for her final piece in her painting class decided to paint a portrait of her granddad Stand and younger cousin Hailey.

At the end of March, Hope's grandfather Stan almost passed away from COVID-19 but miraculously recovered. He already had lungs problems but was hospitalized and recovered. For her final painting in her painting class, she decided to do a portrait of him to honor him and her family. The picture is an old photo of her grandpa Stan and her younger cousin Hailey playing with shaving cream. It captured his spirit and heart. Creating the painting got her through that hard time in her life and the best gift she could ever give to her amazing grandparents.
