The illicit liquor business has been booming for several months amid the pandemic in central India's Madhya Pradesh on June 4. The incident took place in Panna.

Visuals feature the cops conducting a raid in a locality in broad daylight. Following this, they approach the miscreant's house and begin to search the entire premise to look for the liquor bottles. During the inspection, they find several cartons of alcohol stocked ingeniously in the basement and inside the refrigerator. In the meantime, the officials turn the entire place upside down and confiscate all the boxes full of liquor.

Acting on a tip-off, the team of cops went to Dham locality and conducted checks. Following this, they raided a house and found a huge stock of liquor hidden in every corner of the house for further sale. The officials seized 274 bottles of country-made liquor, 24 bottles of Kingfisher beer, 14 bottles of Royal Stag whiskey, two cans of Vasco beer, and several other brands of country-made liquor. The total worth of all the bottles were estimated to be Rs. 84,440 (USD 1,158), and around 174.02 litres of alcohol were seized from the possession of the accused person. Furthermore, he was arrested under section 34 (2) of the Excise Act and presented in court.
