Hilarious footage has surfaced from Stevenage in the UK that appears to show the consequences of wearing a mask while sunbathing.

In the viral clip, filmer Devan Wright speaks directly into the camera with a huge untanned white patch around his mouth and lines extending across his cheeks from the mask's ear loops.

"So I'm out sunbathing in the garden yesterday and I forgot to take my face mask off," he says.

"I'm really not happy, guys," he adds.

"How am I supposed to go to work like this?" Wright asks.

The funny clip, which appears to have been created using a filter, was filmed on June 6 and has already had more than 800,000 "likes" on TikTok.

Wright was amazed by the reaction.

"Knowing it was a really hot day and with COVID times among us, I saw the opportunity to make people laugh and smile through social media. I didn’t expect to get the outcome I got," he said.
