Protests were held in Cape Town on June 10 after a resident claimed his fruit was poisoned.

Tokai resident Arthur McKey claims his fruit was poisoned by a neighbour to keep the mainly black children away from the area.

A group of protesters from the Economic Freedom Fighters protested in Tokai Cape Town earlier today. Their protest was to highlight alleged racism in the leafy suburb.

Tokai resident Arthur McKey claims his fruit was poisoned by a neighbour to keep the mainly black street children away from the area. According to Mckey the area is inhabited by racist who have been fighting him for the last 18 years.

Tokai is a formally whites only area.

The Economic Freedom Fighters led by the deputy provincial chair chanted and marched along the roadway holding up posters calling for an end to racism. A memorandum demanding action was handed over to the City of Cape Town
