A man halted his van amid a road upon spotting a herd of elephants on the sidelines in Sri Lanka's North Central Province on June 10. The incident took place in the Minneriya National Park located in Rambawilla.

A video features a herd of elephants, including calves, grazing on the roadside. The jumbos munch on the grass and playfully engage with one another. Upon spotting the mammals, a man stopped his vehicle in the middle of the road and got down to behold the experience. However, one of the elephants became alert after noticing the man. The jumbo turned towards him and aggressively blew dirt through its trunk. Following this, the man got back into his car and drove away.

The elephants in the region are known for using the route to travel between the forest covers. The man tried to approach the jumbos to have a closer look but was advised otherwise by the onlookers. Following this, he got into his vehicle and drove away.
