China's viral elephant herd stops to play around in muddy patch
China's viral elephant herd that have migrated across the country have stopped to play around in a muddy patch.
The cute video, shot in the county of Yimen in Yunnan Province on June 10, shows a herd of 14 wild elephants having fun in the mud.
According to reports, more than 410 people and 14 drones were deployed on Monday (June 7) with more than two tonnes of elephant food to try to lead the herd away from residential areas and steer them to the southwest.
Whilst on their odyssey, the elephants have caused at least 6.4 million yuan in damage ($1.07 million USD).
