Elephants get into bloody battle in Sri Lanka
The need for power and dominance often leads to a violent brawl between elephants in Sri Lanka's North Central Province on June 1. The incident took place in Maha Vilachchiya of Anuradhapura district.
Visuals feature a wild elephant and another elephant known as a tusker attacking each other with their trunks amid the greenery of a farming area. The ferocious jumbo glances at the tusker and pounces him with his trunk until he drifts away into the woods. In the meantime, the wild mammal strolls in the area and scares away the tusker each time he approaches him.
The wild elephant was peacefully strolling in the farmland area until he spotted a new tusker in his territory. To show his strength, the elephant attacked the tusker and established his dominance by frightening him away.
