Indonesian soccer fans rejoiced together on Friday, June 11 when Euro 2020 kicked off.

Locals in Pambusuang's famous football village of Kampung Bola were seen enthusiastically wearing the team's kits and carrying the flags.

A convoy of cars and motorbikes travelled around the city as they championed the prestigious tournament.

Football maniac community in 'Kampung Bola' (football village) Pambusuang, Polewali Mandar district, West Sulawesi province, Indonesia rejoices in welcoming the starting Euro 2020 party.

In footage filmed this afternoon (Friday, June 11), locals are seen enthusiastically wearing the team's costumes and carrying the flags of the supported countries.

Convoy of cars and motorbikes around the city that afternoon were free to carry the flag, and were free to choose the costumes of the mainstay team that they championed in this prestigious event.

Amir, coordinator, said thousand residents from various locations participated in welcoming Euro 2020 in 2021.

"This is our tradition, the Pambusuang people love football. They from various other regions come here to join us in celebrating Euro 2021. Personally, I look up to Germany," Amir said.

Pambusuang football village is famous for its football maniacs. Football is a sport and entertainment that is loved by children, teenagers and housewives.

"Every year, in every prestigious football competition such as World Cup and Euro, the people of the Kampung Bola are never involved in a riot or rush. We are aware that football is sportsmanship and love of peace. Winning or losing a match is natural," Amir added.
