Indian Army dedicates Covid-19 facility to locals in northern India

The Indian Army dedicated a Covid-19 facility housing at least 50 beds to the people of northern India's Jammu and Kashmir on June 12. The incident took place in the Batwara region of Srinagar.

Visuals feature the new Covid-19 facility. The institution has several beds neatly placed inside a ward with medical equipment kept adjacent to each bed. Later, the officials disclose the details of the matter and dedicate the facility to the people of the region.

The Deputy Commissioner of Srinagar, Mohammed Aijaz Asad, inaugurated the facility having 10 Intensive Care Unit (ICU) beds with ventilator support, 20 High Dependency Unit beds with Oxygen support, and 20 Oxygen beds. It also has facilities such as a laboratory, radiology department, and Blood Gas Analyzer for the efficient management of patients.

Moreover, the Indian Army will provide round-the-clock dedicated doctors, military nurses, and paramedical staff to the facility. Furthermore, Brigadier CG Muralidharan, Head of Department (HOD) Medical Department, Chinar Corps, assured all possible assistance by the Indian Army to the locals to fight the battle against Covid-19.
