President of Turkey, Recep Tayyip Erdogan, with a decree published on March 20, 2021, announced that he canceled the Istanbul Convention, which ensures the protection of women, LGBTIs and children against violence. On July 1, 2021, this decision will be final. Women's organizations continue their protest actions for the withdrawal of the decision. Many women, who came together in Kadıköy, rode bicycles for the withdrawal of the Istanbul Convention decision.

In the press release it was said: "We'll hit the road and ride our bikes to Caddebostan. Last 19 days for the final decision on the Istanbul Convention. If this decision becomes final after 19 days, Turkey will withdraw from the most comprehensive international convention that protects women, children, LGBTIs from male violence, with the decision of a single man in the middle of the night without asking anyone. To protest this, we are on the street, on the watch, in the riot as the "Istanbul Convention Campaign Group" until 1 July. We are making a sound for the Istanbul Convention."
