The video was filmed in the county of Yimen in Yunnan Province on June 13.
A herd of 12 elephants laid on their sides to sleep.
Nearby villages reportedly installed elephant identification systems which will alarm to warn the villagers when the elephants appear in the motoring areas.
The Forest Fire Service in Yunnan Province will continuously monitor the migrating elephants using drones.
