Things didn't go as intended when a vicious crocodile attempted to have a turtle for lunch in Sri Lanka's North Western and North Central provinces on June 15. The incident took place in the Wilpattu National Park.

Visuals feature the hungry crocodile swiftly gliding through the surface of the water after spotting a potential meal during the daytime. The predator carefully moves towards the turtle to avoid scaring it away and partially emerges out of the water. Fortunately, nature had the turtle’s back as it runs for its life upon detecting some movement and disappears as soon as the carnivore reaches within its range. After losing its food for the day, the mammal drifts away with an empty mouth and empty stomach.

Having a thick skin and a strong mind is quite crucial if you want to survive in this world. Even though turtle and crocodile are not recognized as natural rivals, the predator attempting to devour the tiny animal surely astonished the spectators.
