In view of the continuously depleting groundwater in the paddy producing areas of Haryana, the Haryana Government has fixed June 15 for the transplantation of paddy for the last several years, before this, the Agriculture Department takes strict action against the farmers who transplant paddy and transplant them. The harvested crop is also destroyed.Dr. Jasbir Singh, Agricultural Scientist of Krishi Vigyan Kendra under Hisar Agricultural University said that Kaithal district is prominent in the cultivation of Basmati paddy as almost all the farmers here cultivate paddy.He said that farmers should take special care of some things while transplanting paddy so that they do not face any kind of problem till the crop is ripe, Dr. Jasbir Singh, agronomist informed the farmers about the cultivation of paddy. Which fertilizers should be used at what time so that there is no outbreak of disease in the cover crop.
