A "Star Wars" series is set to be filmed at a quarry in Derbyshire, UK.

Reports are suggesting that a "Star Wars" series is going to be filmed at Middle Peak Quarry near Wirksworth.

Signs have been put up around the area informing locals that Disney will be filming nearby.

According to filmer Doug Blane, the new Star Wars series "Andor" will be filmed in Middle Peak Quarry.

This footage was filmed on June 16.

Star Wars Andor series created by Tony Gilroy a prequel to Rogue One film set being created at Tarmac's Middle Peak Quarry Wirksworth Derbyshire (not Matlock) for Hollywood production E&E, Disney+ Lucas Films.

The film production company is E&E INDUSTRIES (UK) LIMITED, are part of Disney+ & Lucas Films.
They have permission from Derbyshire Dales District Council (DDDC) to close footpaths, the StarDisk at Stony Wood & some roads around the filming location or 3 days between Tuesday 22nd to Thursday 24th June 2021.
It has been reported that Ewan McGregor has resumed his role as Obi-Wan Kenobi & maybe visiting Wirksworth for the filming.
