Australian white ibis dangling from tree rescued by workers with a crane
An Australian white ibis managed to entangle itself in a fishing line caught in a tree.
Footage from Parramatta, Australia, shows a worker from an energy company use a crane to reach the bird.
Filmer Bridey Hudson said: "Australian white ibis (bin chicken) had fishing line caught around its foot and got hung up in a palm tree. The tree was close to a powerline so I had to call the energy company to get the bird."
Once the bird was untangled, it was placed into a cage and later released.
This footage was filmed in October 2017.
