Crocodile spotted swimming in shallow part of beach in the Philippines
Residents were terrified after seeing a crocodile swimming in the shallow part of a beach in the Philippines.
Willie Olorga found the creature while he was on his way to check on his boat in Balabac, Palawan province.
The fisherman said he lived in the house which was only a few steps away from where the reptile was spotted so he was worried.
He said: ‘My four-year-old nephew was the first one to see it. We were walking by the shore when we noticed the black figure in the water.
‘We advised our neighbors not to go near the beach for safety until the crocodile leaves.’
The animal eventually swam away and disappeared but some of the residents were still afraid to go into the water.
