Heavy downpours and intensified weather conditions triggered a landslide in northeastern India's Sikkim on June 17. The incident took place on the National Highway-10 (NH-10) in Rangpo.

Visuals feature the authorities carrying out maintenance work to clear the roads after debris and boulders roll down the cliff. The entire path is encased with dense layers of dirt while two excavators on the spot continue to remove them to resume vehicular movement as there is a long queue of vehicles waiting to get past the highway.

The sudden landslide blocked the NH-10 in Rangpo and created a traffic jam as rubble accumulated on the road. However, the officials swung into action and cleared the road after an hour while an International Business Machines Corporation (IBM) tower installed by the Power Department was spotted in a critical state above the sliding portion of the hill.
