A fight broke out between rival England and Scotland fans in London's Leicester Square on Friday 18 June.

London's police later said 30 people were arrested as part of their policing around the Euro 2020 match, almost all in central London. Leicester Square is in the heart of the capital.

Scotland fans were using the square as an unofficial gathering place during and after the Euro 2020 match in the capital.

Police said that they entered the square to separate rival groups around the time of the match. They also completely cleared the square some time after 1am.

Among the arrests in London connected to the match, police said 13 were for public order offences, six for drunk and disorderly behaviour, four for assault on police, three for assault in general, two related to Class A drugs and one each for breaching a dispersal order and breaching a banning order.
