Netherlands: Violent, Tornado-Like Winds Lash Utrecht Town During Storm 2
Violent winds during a storm, with many residents believing it was a tornado, lashed the town of Leersum in the Netherlands' Utrecht province on Friday evening, June 18.
An extremely powerful gust that blasted Leerum was short-lived, many residents reporting it lasted only less than a minute, but was so forceful it downed many trees. The onslaught resulted in at least 8 people injured and many houses damaged by debris and downed trees.
