Cheeky monkey thief snatches elderly woman’s bag in Singapore
A cheeky monkey thief snatched away an elderly woman’s bag and climbed up a tree with it in Singapore.
Footage shows the primate standing on a tree branch with its loot in Punggol.
Onlooker Douglas Tan said they tried to lure the monkey to climb down by throwing food below the tree but it was too clever.
He said: ‘It ignored the food we left and instead another monkey took it the treats. It was my first time seeing a monkey steal something.’
The bag was eventually retrieved with the help of concerned residents.
