Mount Etna in Sicily erupted this morning (June 21) shooting lava at least 700 metres into the air.

Spectacular footage filmed at around 4 am local time showed the fountain of lava bursting from the southeast crater.

After only 24 hours Etna Volcano has decided to erupt again, volcanic activity quickly increased, generating an intense lava fountain of at least 700 meters, one of the highest of the latest eruptive events, once again the protagonist was the South-east Crater the ash column moved south-southeast and the fallout affected the villages on the same side, with this eruption it gets even closer to 40 eruptions, to remember such a lively year you have to go back to 2000 when it erupted 66 times before the great eruption of 2001 .
