It almost appeared Scotland's famous 'nessie' or the Loch Ness monster had taken a trip to the South for the Summer when a log resembling the mythical creature (or 'Log Ness' monster) was spotted at Sheerness beach in Kent today (June 24).

Amusingly, many people in the UK unfamiliar with the town, assume Sheerness would be located in Scotland, rather than Kent.

A similar piece of driftwood that washed up in Warden Bay in Nov 2020 a few miles further along the coast caused some amusement for locals, with one social media user commenting: "Omg it’s Mc Logness !!!!!!".
