Thousands of locals enjoyed a foot spa in the hot spring that sprayed out of a well onto streets in central China.

The video, filmed in the city of Xinmi in Henan Province on June 20, shows some residents using buckets to collect the hot spring water spraying out of a well while others sitting on the roadside to enjoy a foot spa.

According to reports, construction workers dug the hot spring well out accidentally in 2019 when they tried to dig a water well.

A citizen said he came from a place that is over 40 kilometres away to enjoy the hot spring. Some even came from around 200 kilometres away.

The number of people visiting the hot spring reached 5,000 in a day.

It was the first time locals discovered the hot spring well. They let the water spray onto the streets to check its temperature and quality.

A hot spring resort was planned to be built in the future and hopefully the hot spring can also supply heating for locals.

一市民告诉记者，他跑了四十多公里就是来享受这个温泉的热量。记者了解到，最远一二百里的人都到这个地方来泡温泉，每天最多时候有四五千人，同时经记者现场测试温泉水有四十多度。
朝着涌泉路往西，越靠近源头的位置，水温越高，居民的脚都不敢直接伸到水里，而且颜色也越来越红。那么温泉水究竟哪里来的，记者在现场也咨询了李坡村的村干部。温泉是在2019年发现的，这是李坡村有史以来第一次发现温泉，现在温泉水排在路面上是为了检测水质的温度和水质的含量，这样也可以让村民提前感受一下来自地下3200米的温泉水。未来村里计划利用这温泉水，打造一个温泉度假区，同时还希望利用温泉水来给村里供暖。（视频由河南台提供）
