Woman attempts to commit suicide by jumping into waterfall in central India
Suicide may stem from intense feelings of anger, hopelessness, much more, but what exactly triggered this irrevocable step in a woman in central India's Madhya Pradesh on June 23. The incident took place in Patalpani WaterFall, located in Mhow of Indore district.
Visuals feature the cops reaching the Patalpani waterfall to save the woman who tried to end her life. Following this, the locals discover her down the cliff and construct a makeshift palanquin with woods and a piece of cloth to carry the injured lady while the cops accompany and guide them all along.
The vulnerable woman, Kirti Gupta, working as a clerk with the State Bank of India (SBI) in Mumbai, was hit by a life-upsetting blow when she decided to jump into the waterfall to end her life. Fortunately, the woman got stuck in one of the trees down the cliff and got stranded on its branch while the locals rushed to help her and immediately informed the cops.
The officials further reached the spot while the locals freed the entangled woman from the clutches of the tree and carried her all the way down the hill as she sustained severe injuries on her head and legs. She was further admitted to a private hospital where she is undergoing her treatment.
Further information revealed that her husband, Ajeet Gupta, who also works with SBI, lives in Mumbai while she has been staying with her parents in Mhow because of the lockdown. Moreover, the exact reason that drove her to take the extreme step is yet to be established.
