Montreal police used tear gas to disperse crowds who had gathered downtown on late Thursday night through to early morning Friday to celebrate their local team's win in the Stanley Cup semifinals.

The Montreal Canadiens, known as the Habs, beat the Vegas Golden Knights advancing to the finals for the first time since 1993.
