Police officers in northern China freed a wild Siberian roe deer trapped in guardrails.

The video, filmed in the county of Huma in Heilongjiang Province on June 24, shows a wild Siberian roe deer trapped in between some guardrails and struggling to escape.

Police officers used ropes to fix the deer’s four legs first to avoid it from hurting itself. They then slowly removed the animal from the railings.

The male Siberian roe deer is a national second-class protected animal. Fortunately, it only suffered minor scratches and police treated the wound for it before releasing it back into the wild.

24日早上4时，呼玛县公安局长虹边境派出所接到热心群众报警，一只“傻狍子”被困居民小区。民警到达现场后发现一只狍子被卡在防护栏内，身上因碰撞挣扎在流血，生命垂危。民警当场立即展开救助，为了防止在救助过程中造成二次伤害，民警先用绳子将狍子的四肢捆住固定，再慢慢的从防护栏将其取出。
成功解救后，民警对其进行检查，发现其是一只雄性国家二级保护动物的狍子，狍子只是轻微擦伤，随即民警对其伤口进行了简单的处理，在确认狍子没有大碍后，用警车将其护送到G331国道七棵树附近，将其放归森林。
