Illegal trading has emerged as one of the most formidable challenges for several months in southern India's Andhra Pradesh on June 24. The incident took place at the Panchalingala state border check post in Kurnool.

Visuals feature several gold bars and coins placed on the table to maintain a count on them after seizing them from the accused. Following this, they assemble a couple of gold ornaments recovered during the inspection and keep a check on all the illicit items. In the meantime, the officials disclose the matter and stack all the products inside a box for further investigation.

At the Panchalingala state border check post, inspections were being carried out by Special Enforcement Bureau (SEB) police, Circle Inspector (CI) P. Srinivasulu, Sub Inspector Gopal Ramudu, Head Constables Khaza Hussain, Shareef, Ramana Murthy, and Jagannatham, Constables Srinivasulu, Sriramulu, Sunder, and Tirupal Reddy, and other staff members.

During their surveillance, they stopped a private bus and recovered 4 kg (8.8 lbs) of gold worth Rs. 2.50 crore (USD 3,37,129) from a man named Mahaveer P Jain, who was heading from Hyderabad to Bangalore. Following this, the cops demanded some evidence or bills to prove he procured it legally, but due to lack of any relevant documents, all the precious items were seized from his possession and sent to Kurnool Police Station for further investigation. Furthermore, it has been alleged that he was trying to evade Goods and Services Tax (GST) by transporting it without valid papers.
