Illicit liquor worth $4,040 seized in southern India
The police officials seized illicit alcohol worth Rs 3 lakh (USD 4,040) in southern India's Andhra Pradesh on June 25. The incident took place in the Alipiri region of Tirupati.

Acting on a tip, the police officials seized 980 bottles of illicit alcohol smuggled from Karnataka from a house in the region. Moreover, the authorities arrested the accused and initiated an investigation into the matter.
