Covid-19 Quarantine for massive container ship MSC Erica at Port of Felixstowe UK, 26 June 2021
Originally due to depart from Felixstowe, UK, on Friday morning, ultra large container ship MSC Erica is in quarantine at one of the port's less-used berths for a period of quarantine.
We were told that 10 crewmembers from a crew of around 20 tested positive for Covid, and 3 symptomatic crew members who tested positive were taken to Ipswich Hospital for treatment.
The massive vessel is expected to be detained for another 8 to 10 day.
