A smart Filipino toddler has learned how to read words and numbers at just two-years-old.

Footage shows the boy Aron Chester Cruz reading the words that his mother write on a mobile device in their living room in Bulacan, the Philippines.

Teacher Beatriz Jader visited her colleague’s house and watched the mother and son pair practicing reading.

Beatriz said that the boy appeared to enjoy the activity and treated it as playtime.

She said: ‘My friend told me that her son loved to study on his own by watching online learning videos. They were surprised to know that he could already read. It was like playtime to him.’
