Morning skiing in the northernmost region of Italy is still pretty good, however afternoons bring a lot of wet snow and it is obvious that this skiing season is coming to an end. Only two glacier areas in South Tyrol will stay opened until start of May (Schnalstal and Solda). The only other place which will be opened after this weekend is Kronplatz. It will stay opened for one more week until 19th of April. Rest of the slopes is already closed or is closing on upcoming weekend.

Number of skiers this week was quite small in South Tyrol however it is well expected that this weekend will be slopes overcrowded. After all, final chance of skiing is a final chance of skiing.

In Austria is situation pretty much the same. A vast majority of ski resorts have its final call of the season also on 12th of April. This includes for example Kaprun, Pitztal, Katschberg, Nassfeld, Montafon or Zell am See.
