In the Pacific Northwest, heatwaves caused by the "heat dome" phenomenon, in which high pressure in the sky traps hot air, hit the region and the temperature in each city has reached a record high of over 110 degrees (43.3 degrees Celsius).

Meteorological experts predict that this intense heatwave will last for at least another week.
