In the Pacific Northwest, heatwaves caused by the "heat dome" phenomenon, in which high pressure in the sky traps hot air, hit the region and the temperature in the area reached a record high of over 110 degrees (43.3 degrees Celsius).

The footage was filmed and posted on social media by @mamaofmav.
