This artist based in Campinas, Brazil, used just string and nails to form a portrait of Michael Jackson.

Luis Henrique Vignado filmed a timelapse revealing the intricate process behind the creation of the artwork.

Vignado credits his calculus classes for helping him become an expert string artist.

He said: "While studying at the college, my friends and I started thinking about calculus and the equations we were learning. We wondered what we could do with this information and fast forward to today, you can see the progress!

"It took two years to correct and perfect the technique, but it was worth it because the result is very nice."

This footage was filmed in July 2020.
