Locals in southern India were amazed recently when a large wild crocodile wandered into their village.

Footage filmed today (July 1) in the Uthira Kannada district of Karnataka showed the enormous reptile casually strolling among homes.

According to locals, the croc wandered about for about half an hour amid terrified residents until officers from the Forest Department arrived and relocated the scaly beast away from homes.

A relax walk of a crocodile on it's day out shocked the villagers in South India.

Kogilabana village is located in uthira Kannada district of Karnataka state in South India. River Gali runs through this village and a crocodile came ashore from the river.

Then the crocodile can be seen walking relaxed on the streets of the village despite the noises raised by the locals.

It continued the same for half an hour. Scared villagers called the forest department officials and they came and rescued the giant reptile and let it in the deep woods.
