Shocked Charlie Jones was taken aback as he saw the real colour of the ball and the grass pitch for the first time in his life. The promising all-rounder, from Rhostyllen, North Wales, had struggled to pick out the ball while batting and fielding.

After being bowled out for a duck two weeks ago he finally admitted to his coach at Brymbo Cricket Club that he couldn’t see the ball.
