This is the heartwarming moment an 11-year-old colour blind cricketer sees the red ball for the first time after wearing corrector glasses. Shocked Charlie Jones was taken aback as he saw the real colour of the ball and the grass pitch for the first time in his life. The promising all-rounder, from Rhostyllen, North Wales, had struggled to pick out the ball while batting and fielding.

After being bowled out for a duck two weeks ago he finally admitted to his coach at Brymbo Cricket Club that he couldn’t see the ball. Coach Gareth Roberts scoured the internet and sought advice from cricket experts who suggested EnChroma corrector glasses. Video shows the moment Charlie tried them out for the first time and he excitedly told his mum he could at last "see everything".
