An amusing video has emerged of a man dancing alongside a mascot in a dog costume on a roadside in the US.

The footage was captured on the side of a busy street in Grand Junction, Colorado, when a store sent their mascot out to attract the attention of passing traffic.

However, the canine mascot soon found himself at the centre of a heated dance battle when a man decided to throw his own energetic shapes just a few metres away.

“While the mascot of my store dances along a busy street, a gentleman who appears to down on his luck shows that he still has some pep in his step and begin dancing as well!” the filmer later wrote online.

Although the video was captured in June 2014, it has only recently emerged online.
