Former health secretary Matt Hancock personally appointed Gina Coladangelo as an adviser to the Department of Health, multiple sources in the UK press are reporting.

Hancock resigned from the Cabinet on Saturday after video footage of him kissing his aide was leaked to the press.

Questions have been raised over Coladangelo's appointment to the £15,000 a year taxpayer-funded role after it emerged the couple was having an affair.

On June 28, Dan Wright decides to have a little fun with the officers in front of Downing Street.

"On a family break in London, I walked up to Downing Street officers jokingly I asked 'is Matt allowed to come out and play?' to which one officer joked 'no sorry, he’s clearing out his locker” and then another officer says 'he had his play already.' It has now gone viral. The officers could see I was filming. It was friendly British banter," Wright tells Newsflare.
