Little Corellas (Cacatua sanguinea) are a common species of white cockatoo in Australia. They are noisy, playful birds that feed mainly on the ground, taking a range of seeds, bulbs and grass roots. This flock of Little Corellas was busy excavating and eating grass roots in the lawn at Riverside Gardens Reserve on the edge of the Serpentine River in south-western Western Australia. Their calls, along with those of Australian Magpies can be heard as they dig, squabble and chase one another.
